The competition to win 10 free packs of Boys & Boden briquettes ended yesterday, 18 January, when we drew a name at random out of a hat. The lucky winner was Sara Smallman of Oswestry, who was so thrilled that she rushed down to our Welshpool branch to collect her prize that same afternoon.

Produced from our timber staircase off-cuts, these 100% wood briquettes are manufactured sustainably by making use of waste sawdust and wood fragments, which are compressed into compact blocks suitable for even a small woodburner or fireplace. They are cleaner and easier to handle than logs, give out more heat and are perfect for keeping your home warm and cosy in this chilly snap - as Sara's contented dog demonstrates.

A single briquette can burn for up to 4 hours - and with a pack of 12 briquettes priced at just £2.63, anyone who uses their woodburner or open fire frequently can save up to £150 a year by switching from logs. You can buy them in any Boys & Boden store (based in Shropshire, Cheshire and Mid Wales). See our website for store opening times and directions. Deals are available on bulk orders - ask our staff for details. Click for Boys and Boden Store Details.
