Engineered oak risers are more robust than a single solid piece of timber, providing a long lifespan and more cost-effective option. Engineered oak is made using multiple pieces of oak that have been finger jointed together for optimum strength. The joined pieces are then covered with a thick veneer of quality oak that takes stains and finishes beautifully. Risers are an integral part of a step, forming the vertical section between treads.
