Newel Bases

Newel posts are typically used as a structural element to anchor the handrail of staircases and landings. Newel Post base pieces form the bottom, square section that a turned newel post will be fitted They are usually joined to the structure of the staircase and the floor.

Our newel bases are produced in a range of stunning timbers that can be varnished or stained, and we also have bases that are white primed and ready to paint. Timbers we use include oak, ash, hemlock and sapele.

Our newel post bases are 90mm x 90mm and we have various sizes available from 500mm to 3600mm, to suit individual staircase requirements and constraints.
