Trademark opening cap manufactured from hemlock by Richard Burbidge. Suitable for continuous over-the-post handrail systems. Used at the start of handrails. Fits 41mm and 32mm spindles. There is a 19mm diameter x26mm deep hole underneath the cap for fitting a newel turning.
