An exciting project to be a part of, the finished result of this new build project in Buckinghamshire is simply exceptional. Completed in a contemporary colour scheme that includes cool light colours, the intricate detailing throughout the home provides a contrasting more traditional aspect to the property's design scheme.

Tasked with designing and manufacturing a staircase that is in keeping with this unique blend of both traditional structure and modern style, the Pear Stairs team designed and manufactured this stunning staircase.

Fundamentally, a simple straight staircase with a returning balustrade, all of the main components are crafted from softwood and primed with a white finish. Topped with a sapele handrail that has been painted black to match the existing furnishings, the colour contrast created helps to break up the room, and make this staircase stand out. 

To add a level of sophistication and to complement the traditional structural design of this property, a D-end bullnose step was used on the staircase entry. This facilitated the use of an intricate volute newel filled with chamfered spindles that continue up the staircase and along the returning balustrade.
