Looking for a bespoke staircase for this stunning Lakehouse in Gloucestershire, the client contacted the Pear Stairs design team with this exciting project.
Wanting the landing staircase to blend seamlessly with the existing beach-style design scheme; our designers decided to mimic the existing line structure of the exposed timber frame, using larger 120mm Newel posts and 55mm spindles.
Combining the use of white wood for the stairs and redwood for the strings and newel posts, a Hemlock square handrail was added for the continuation of using prominent lines throughout the property’s aesthetic.
In keeping with the natural design scheme of this Lakehouse, the staircase was sandblasted before being painted in a pastel white by the client. The end product is this outstanding rustic looking staircase that subtly blends into the bright beach-style design scheme.
