Entrusted with creating a grandeur feature staircase that sits at the entrance of this magnificent Georgian Farmhouse, this T-Shaped cut-string staircase was an exciting project for our team at Pear Stairs. Leading up to the galleried landing area, the brief was to design a breathtaking bespoke staircase that would look at home in this beautiful traditional property.
Immediately welcoming you when you enter the building, the two bullnose steps and two volutes added on either side of the second tread make for an open, spacious and inviting appearance.
Manufactured from softwood, the stairs and spindles have a perfect white painted finish with the client adding a luxurious black and grey stair runner to the staircase in order to provide a colour break and match the general design aesthetic. To complete this staircase, a Sapele handrail was chosen to match the furnishings of the room, in keeping with the traditional character of this majestic farmhouse.

Our Customer Said:
As self-builders of a new build Georgian Farmhouse, we wanted to find a staircase to complement the entrance hall and galleried landing we had designed. We were recommended Pears Stairs by our consultant and found their website case studies very useful in looking at ideas. Dave at Pears was extremely helpful in assisting us with the design choices to create the bespoke stairs we were looking for. As relative amateurs, we were guided through the technical aspects with a great deal of patience and are completely thrilled with the result.
