For this staircase, the client had limited space to work with but managed to create a gorgeous compact design. The majority of the treads are white wood and most of the risers are made from plywood, a smart cost-effective choice for carpeted stairs. The design also features several exposed oak features that elevate it above being a simplistic carpeted home staircase. The first step is a bullnose feature step made from a delicious warm oak. Similarly, the balustrade is also made from oak. Square profile spindles have been paired with square newel posts for an uncomplicated aesthetic that highlights the colour and texture of the timber. The newel post has been topped with a pyramid cap for a visually interesting touch.
