962. Craig Fechan Staircase

This softwood straight staircase features a balustrade on one side and a wall-mounted handrail on the other. The stairs are carpetted except for the first feature step that has a design similar to a D-End feature step except it turns at a right angle back in on the newel instead of at a curve. Square newel posts and spindles have been used and the posts have been topped with pyramid caps for a decorative touch.
