This warm home staircase features a solid oak balustrade and whitewood treads that have been covered with carpeted. At the foot of the stairs is a bullnose feature step that wraps around one side of the stringer. The newels and balusters have a square design and the posts have been topped with flat caps. The customer was pleased with the results and design process behind them.

Overall I found the process of ordering the stairs with Pear Stairs very good. I loved the computer program where I could see the design as I was going along.
My job is a dance teacher so it's not something I'd done before, but with guidance from my carpenter on measurements I was able to pretty much complete the design on my own.
The stairs came well packaged and as ordered. The carpenter found putting it all together relatively straight forwards, it's still quite a big job. Everything fitted well.
