920. Old Chapel House
Ilminster
Somerset
This modern oak staircase is beautifully lit by an authentic stained glass window. The oak balustrading features stop chamfered spindles and square newels that have been topped with ornate acorn newel caps. The treads and risers are made from affordable whitewood and plywood respectively as the client wished to lay a carpet on to the design. The stairs feature two quarter landing turns that allow space for the colourful light to spill in through the windows, really making the most of this unique property. The customer then went on to use matching spindles and rails to create a seamless stairgate, much to the dismay of their dog.

We think that the result speaks for itself. Thanks to all at Pair Stairs.
