915. Sunny Bank Staircase
Coniston
Cumbria
This simple yet effective contemporary design utilises LED lights, installed into the string to enhance the natural beauty of the sapele treads and risers. A traditional handrail and baserail with stop chamfered newels keeps the design clean and uncomplicated; a design ethos that is complemented by the glass panel balustrade. The staircase also features a bullnose feature step, giving the staircase a more prominent presence in the property yet without taking up too much space as a D-End feature step is liable to do in smaller properties.
Size was very much important to this customer as they were working within the limitations of a small chapel conversion, the ground up Pear Stairs design process was able to cater for all their precise needs.
Our Customer Said:
We went for the minimum size that would meet building regulations as space was very limited and the top needed to be below the peak of the roof on the mezzanine in our chapel conversion.
They do not feel cramped in any way and are a real feature of the conversion.
We are very happy with them - we have oiled the sapele and fitted LED lights into the stringer which look rather bright in the photo.
I have already recommended you to some friends doing a renovation project.
