721. Crescent staircase

Rising from the ground floor right up to the loft, these two flights of stairs with glass balustrade are made from softwood. The ground floor staircase has a single winder, while the stairs connecting the first floor to the loft feature a double winder turn. As the staircase was to be painted and carpeted, we used softwood treads, MDF winder treads and ply risers, the newel posts are square, finished with pyramid caps.
