471. Stanley Bank Staircase
Essex
A lovely example of a cut-string staircase with a feature D-end and volute, using a combination of oak and softwood. Oak Traditional handrail, newels finished with ball caps and a pyramid cap on the underside of the newel posts have been chosen, along with 41mm Georgian spindles painted white to complement the whole look of the staircase. A return balustrade graces the first floor.
