This single winder staircase is made entirely of softwood. The newels are an Oxford design, finished with ball newel caps. Georgian-style spindles have been used. The client has painted the strings and balustrade white, while staining the handrail in a contrasting mahogany colour. The whitewood treads and risers have been carpeted.
