162. The Bungalow Loft Conversion

This cut-string and bracket staircase is the centre-point of a bungalow loft conversion which replaces a loft ladder in a dark hallway. Ash Provincial newel posts and spindles, combined with ash square acorn newel caps, have been used. Our client boxed in the back of the staircase and added halogen spotlights to create extra light. All stair parts are coated with four coats of diamond hard acrylic varnish.
