Seeking a bold architectural statement staircase in their luxury home, clients from Southampton approached the Design Team at Pear Stairs looking for something bespoke to meet their needs.

The grand curved staircase design made from Sapele combines classic elegance with modern elements, creating a centrepiece that enhances the overall aesthetic of the home and provides a dramatic entrance for guests to endure.

Following a cut-string style, this staircase offers an open and airy feel to the intricate design of each step. This is further enhanced with the use of bold black metal spindles which were sourced by the clients.

A specially designed step at the base of the staircase serves as an eye-catching introduction to the grand design. The step works in perfect harmony with the unbroken flow of the continuous handrail.

This project highlights Pear Stairs' ability to design and deliver bespoke staircase solutions that exceed client expectations. The grand curved staircase not only enhanced the visual appeal of the residence but also underscored the importance of quality and craftsmanship in home design.

The main contractor on this project was Hambrook Construction LTD with the staircase being fitted by Graco Design.
