Located in Powys, this bespoke staircase showcases the distinctive “stairs on stairs” architectural style, where one flight is positioned directly above another to create a layered, space-efficient design.

Constructed with 32mm redwood strings for strength and stability, the staircase also features 21mm whitewood treads and 18mm whitewood risers, resulting in a clean, well-balanced finish that complements the surrounding interior.

Enhancing the overall look, the staircase is finished with carefully selected oak elements that add warmth and character. Solid oak square newel posts and a matching square oak handrail provide both support and visual continuity, while chamfered oak tops introduce a subtle decorative detail. The thoughtful combination of materials and the unique stacked design make this staircase a striking centrepiece, blending traditional craftsmanship with an innovative approach to form and function.
