A local family eager to modernise their home interior approached the Pear Stairs team with the desire for sleek sophistication and timeless elegance.

The design team created this two-floor oak straight staircase with a closed-string design. The decision to incorporate a closed-string style adds a sense of solidity and refinement to the design, while the use of oak infuses warmth and character into the space.

To compliment the modern aesthetic, a sleek glass balustrade was installed offering unobstructed views and allowing natural light to flow freely throughout the home from the large skylight windows within the property. The glass was secured using a groove in the handrail and baserail to provide a seamless display.

A plush grey carpet runner adds a touch of luxury and comfort, softening the staircase's visual impact while enhancing safety and acoustics.
