A homeowner from Surrey approached the Pear Stairs team with plans to build a new staircase that would achieve a contemporary and airy aesthetic. The combination of a white primed staircase and glass balustrade would contribute to an open and spacious feel.

The staircase structure was primed in a crisp white finish, providing a clean and modern canvas for the design. The white colour served as a neutral backdrop, allowing other design elements to stand out.

The clear glass panels offered a sense of transparency and allowed natural light to flow throughout the space, contributing to a bright and airy atmosphere.

To introduce a natural element, a wooden handrail was chosen. The warm wood tone provided a pleasing contrast to the white and grey palette, adding warmth and tactile quality to the staircase.

This staircase design illustrates how a thoughtful combination of materials can result in a flight that embodies modern elegance. The interplay of colours, textures, and materials creates a harmonious and inviting space that aligns with contemporary design preferences.
