1158. The Old School Room

A client from Cornwall contacted our design team seeking a unique staircase design that would blend into a newly renovated property. The main goal was to keep costs to a minimum whilst creating a flight that complements the existing interior decor.

The staircase was crafted using a mixture of whitewood and redwood, featuring 32mm strings, treads, and risers. Our popular Stop Chamfered Newel Posts were incorporated into the design, alongside the square spindles. All of these are topped off with Pyramid Newel Caps and apron and nosing.

Once the stairs were installed, clients decided to paint the staircase to match the interior walls as well as adding a plush grey carpet to introduce a more home-like feel and promote comfort within the property. The on-site joiner installed an under-stair storage area with a door to further merge furnishings.
