Gobowen

Shropshire

Approached by a client in Shropshire, our Pear Stairs team was able to design this straight-flight feature for a renovated property.

Crafted using oak strings, square posts, and pyramid newel caps, Clients decided on spindles in the style of Oxford Twist in 41mm oak. With plans to carpet some of the flight, whitewood was used on the tread components instead of oak to reduce the overall cost.

Wanting to add something extra to the flight, a d-end and bullnose was used to create a feature step. These were both made using oak to provide the staircase with a professional look, which immediately opens up the staircase and gently invites you.

Following the completion of the stairs, a decision was made to install some under-stair storage with the remaining space. The white-primed doors and matching oak handles complete the overall aesthetic of the staircase, tying everything together.
