Looking to renovate their outdated staircase, clients in Hertfordshire approached the Pear Stairs team with their dream staircase to upgrade their property. The client's main goal was to achieve a classic flight with a timeless design whilst modernising their current furnishings. A white-primed, straight flight including a feature step was chosen for the ground-floor flight.

Knowing the straight style of the staircase was quite simple, a large, double d-end step was added to the stairs to create a unique touch. The curved front edge provides a gentle transition from the floor to the flight within the hallway.

Both flights feature a two-tone grey carpet runner that matches the flooring on the first floor of the property. This provides a subtle colour break from the prominent white-primed components. In line with the dark grey on the carpet runner, black paint was added to the first-floor handrail for a seamless blend. This flight showcases our Oxford spindles in their truest form. A staircase that matches the characteristics of the property.
