110. The Blaen Ash Carved Staircase

Carno

Powys

Ash is the main timber used in this dogleg staircase, presenting a superb example of what Pear Stairs can achieve at a very reasonable cost. Strings, newel posts, stop-chamfered spindles and the bottom two treads are all in ash. The whitewood treads and plywood risers are carpeted. The quality of the ash grain shines through and the style blends perfectly with its surroundings. The 120mm square entry posts have been carved on three sides to give this customer a unique staircase. Our client has finished the staircase by boarding the underside in ash and forming a very useful storage space beneath the staircase, again in ash.
