1086. Salter's House

A bespoke challenge for our team due to the shape of this property in London, choosing two wide bottom steps as they had ample space to work with. This creates a welcoming approach on arrival.

Using a combination of white-primed and Sapele colour shades to create this flight, the dark-to-light contrast works seamlessly with the existing furnishings of the property. To utilise the full capacity of the stairs, clients decided to add some under-stair storage.

Due to the clients wanting a cut string style with scotia mouldings under the protruding nosings, the designers had to get the stairs to go around the kink in the wall within the measurements and provide as much width as possible to ensure the flight presented well- proportioned.
