The Pear Stairs team were approached by a client in Norfolk seeking a distinctive staircase, full of character. This simple straight flight with the addition of a glass balustrade is the epitome of modern interior design.
Uniquely, this staircase design follows a closed string format with a cut string on the face-side where the open end grain is showing. This has been finished off with a large glass panel acting as the balustrade, which the customers sourced themselves.
Manufactured from entirely Oak components, using 42mm treads, 18mm risers and 4mm square pencil nosing. In order to blend seamlessly with the existing decor or the property, clients chose a white-primed string to ensure the staircase was the primary feature.
For an added touch of extravagance, clients chose two raised steps on entrance to the staircase. This creates an enhanced personalised touch, whilst creating a warm and inviting feel to the property.
