This bespoke T-shaped staircase has been crafted for a customer in Hertfordshire, designed to strike a balance between practicality and traditional character. Built with 32mm pine strings and matching 32mm pine treads, it offers a strong and durable foundation. The risers are formed from 9mm plywood, ensuring stability while maintaining a lightweight structure.

The balustrade combines classic features with subtle elegance. Pine stop-chamfered newel posts with flat caps, complemented by 35mm stop-chamfered spindles that provide a clean, structured rhythm to the design.

An oak handrail adds a premium touch, contrasting beautifully against the engineered pine baserail beneath. Finished with a grey carpet, these elements create a staircase that feels both warm and refined, perfectly suited to the Hertfordshire home it was made for.
